Now you can check things out for by going to the Parent Portal. You can access your child's marks and attendance by clicking the link http://pschool.sturgeon.ab.ca . You should have receiced a login name and password in the mail. If you have not please contact your child's school.
Alberta Education: this site provides information on the Alberta School Program of Studies. The learning objectives for each course are listed along with illustrative examples of what types of questions may be used to evaluate specific objectives.

The link below is to an Alberta Learning page that has short explanations for parents about the changes to the new math curriculum and why things happen in the classroom. Where you have room, please include this in the school newsletters under a "Math at Gibbons" type heading. The first article is titled "Do you know there is a new math curriculum?" and follows from there.
